Scenario

After seeing your manually built Case Type, your Lead System Architect would like you to try out the new Pega GenAI™ tool. Compare the Case Life Cycle created by Pega GenAI to your own.

The demo must show Stages, Processes, and Steps for an assistance request. First, the customer creates a request by providing relevant details and entering their payment information. At this point, the application validates whether the customer is enrolled. Next, the customer service representative assigns a service provider and creates a Service Case. Lastly, the customer is invoiced.

You are asked to complete the following assigned tasks. As a new System Architect, your Lead System Architect has given you a collection of technical documentation links to help you get started.

The following table provides the credentials you need to complete the challenge:

Note: Pega GenAI Blueprint is only available to Pega, Pega Partners, and Pega Clients.

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Detailed Tasks

1 Build a Blueprint

Caution: Pega GenAI™ Blueprint is only available to Pega, Pega Partners, and Clients. You must have a Pega Community account to complete this challenge.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Create a Blueprint
  • Export the Blueprint

Directions

  1. In the header of App Studio, click Application > New application.
  2. In the What type of Application do you want to build? dialog box, click Create a Blueprint.

  3. Log in to your Pega account, and on the Pega GenAI Blueprint web page, click Get Started.
    Blueprint is not a Pega Infinity™ feature but a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) application. Pega GenAI Blueprint is available on the Pega.com website.

  4. On the My Blueprint Dashboard web page, click Create a Blueprint.

  5. Fill out the Blueprint wizard with information for the application.
  6. On the Application Context page, review the summary of your application.
  7. Confirm that the Case Types and Life Cycles, Live Data, and Personas match the intended application.
  8. Click Download PDF.
  9. Save the Blueprint PDF file to a location on your device where it is accessible.
  10. Click Download Blueprint.
  11. Save the Blueprint file to a location on your device where it is accessible.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Create a new application using the generated Blueprint

Confirm your work

  1. On the Case Type Workflow tab, click Save and Run.
  2. Verify that your Case runs as expected.

Your finished product should look similar to the following image:
