In Pega Platform™ applications, Data Pages are integral to accessing and persisting the data needed to resolve a Case successfully. In this module, you engage in a conversation about the purpose of Data Pages, how Data Page integrations create the link between your application and the system of record, and how Data Pages cache the data in memory for use during Case processing.

Engage at your own pace, with Socrates guiding your understanding of the material. For an optimal experience, complete the module in one session.

Using Socrates: 
  • Learning Objectives: Accessible in the pane on the left side of the conversation area.
  • Preferences: Customize Language, Conversation style, and Industry, and enable Socrates Audio (text-to-speech).
  • Conversation: Create new line in your chat with Socrates by pressing Shift+Enter. Press Enter to submit your complete response.
Experienced learners: 
  • Starts with a scenario-based assessment.
  • Responses are evaluated to identify knowledge gaps.
  • Socrates provides targeted information to address these gaps.
New learners: 
  • Begins with foundational content before the assessment.
  • Assessment results guide Socrates in filling knowledge gaps.

After completing this module, you should be able to:

  • Describe the information about the Data Model that is available on the Integration Designer landing page of App Studio.
  • Explain the purpose and use cases for Data Pages in Pega Platform applications.
  • Explain the configuration of a Data Page Rule in Dev Studio.
  • Identify the use cases for various data sources, including connectors, lookups, and report definitions.
  • Articulate the difference between reviewing Data Pages in Traditional versus Constellation architecture.
  • Configure a savable Data Page to write to a system of record.
  • Configure a data page to improve performance
