Pega Platform™ enables you to easily explore and analyze data in your application using the Explore Data landing page. In this module, you engage in a conversation about using Insights to transform data queries into tables or visualizations that you can then share between users.

Estimated module duration: 1 hour

Engage at your own pace, with Socrates guiding your understanding of the material. For an optimal experience, complete the module in one session.

Using Socrates: 
  • Learning Objectives: Accessible in the pane on the left side of the conversation area.
  • Preferences: Customize Language, Conversation style, and Industry, and enable Socrates Audio (text-to-speech).
  • Conversation: Create new line in your chat with Socrates by pressing Shift+Enter. Press Enter to submit your complete response.
Experienced learners: 
  • Starts with a scenario-based assessment.
  • Responses are evaluated to identify knowledge gaps.
  • Socrates provides targeted information to address these gaps.
New learners: 
  • Begins with foundational content before the assessment.
  • Assessment results guide Socrates in filling knowledge gaps.

After completing this module, you should be able to:

  • Use the Explore Data landing page to create Insights.
  • Design reports and Insights using business and process metrics.
  • Create Insights to best support data analysis for a Pega application.
  • Explain how Insights facilitate retrieving, viewing, and editing application data.
