Patch release support policy
Extended support policy
The Pega software maintenance and extended support policy supports patches for up to 18 months after initial release. However, ensure the latest minor version is immediately applied to benefit from ongoing security and reliability improvements.
Clients continue to receive assistance from Pega Support, but may be required to update to the latest minor version to resolve non-production issues.
Backporting capabilities or support for newer versions of third-party solutions is not available.
Versions which have entered the extended support phase are no longer available for download from the Pega Digital Software Delivery page.
For more information about the upcoming patch releases, see Pega Infinity patch calendar.
Patches are produced on average every eight weeks for more recent minor version streams. The cadence extends as version streams mature. Internally, Pega Platform™ uses a standard patch planning and code freeze process to meet publicized timelines. For more information, see Benefits of adopting patch releases.
Clients can request to be added to the proactive mailing list when new patches are available.
Resolved issues are published on the Resolved Issues Pega Community page as part of each release. The notes that describe each resolved issue present a concise and informative summary of client-reported issues and the changes that were made to address each issue. Clients can access the resolved issues as a searchable web site or as a PDF download that contains a complete set of the resolved issues for a particular release.
Only client-reported issues are shared on Pega Community. To be included in the resolved issues, the issue must be documented through an Incident (INC) support case with Pega Support.
Resolved issues and release notes
Resolved issues document fixes for client-reported issues and are produced by Pega's Release Management group. Published release notes are produced by Pega's technical documentation group and highlight new features and enhancements, or clarify specific product use cases or settings.
