Scenario

U+ Bank wants its customer service representatives (CSRs) to have easy access to Pega GenAI™ Knowledge Buddy as they work. As an application administrator, you have been tasked with adding Knowledge Buddy to the Knowledge widget in the Customer Service Interaction Portal.

Note: This challenge focuses on the process for adding the Knowledge Buddy to a Constellation application. Additionally, this challenge assumes that you have completed the previous challenges in the Pega Knowledge Buddy mission and shares the practice environment with those. It is recommended that you complete them if you have not done so already.

The following table provides the credentials you need to complete the challenge:

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:

Task 1: Update the Knowledge Management Widget onfiguration set

Update the Knowledge Management Widget configuration set to enable Knowledge Buddy and choose the default buddy.

Confirm your work: Use the buddy widget to ask a question

Log in as a CSR and ask Knowledge Buddy a question.

 

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Initialization may take up to 5 minutes so please be patient.

Detailed Tasks

1 Update the Knowledge Management Widget configuration set

  1. In the instance for the challenge, click Pega Infinity™ to log in as a Customer Service application administrator:
    1. In the User name field, enter CSAppAdmin
    2. In the Password field, enter password123!
  2. In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Control Panel.
  3. Click Interactions.

  4. Expand Knowledge, and then next to Knowledge Management Widget click Continue.
    Note: While in the current version of your practice environment allows you to configure the Knowledge Buddy widget, this widget will become deprecated in future releases. The correct way for you to make Knowledge Buddy available in the Interaction Portal is to add Knowledge Buddy to the Knowledge Management widget.

  1. In the Default Knowledge Buddy for Ask questions field enter EnablementBuddy.

  2. Select the Enable Knowledge Buddy checkbox.

  3. In the upper-right corner, click Save.
  4. In the lower-left corner of App Studio, click CSAppAdmin > Log off.
