Scenario

U+ Bank uses Pega Customer Decision Hub™ to personalize the credit card and mortgage offers that customers receive on its website. To optimize customer interactions even further, the data scientist team of U+ Bank develops offline models that calculate customer interest in a product group, to support the decision about which offer to display when a customer logs in to the bank's website.

Recently, the decisioning architect has added several precalculated customer interest model scores to the data model.

To make the fields containing the scores available to the adaptive models as potential predictors, the Team Lead creates a new revision containing a change request to add the predictor fields to the adaptive model that drives the Predict Web Propensity prediction. That prediction calculates the likelihood that a customer clicks on a web banner on the U+ Bank website.

The Team Lead assigns the change request to a Data Scientist, who processes the change request. After the Team Lead approves the change request, the Revision Manager deploys the revision.

Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:

Role User name Password
Team lead TeamLead rules
Data Scientist DataScientist rules

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:

Task 1: Create a new revision

As the Team Lead, create a new revision in the 1:1 Operations Manager portal.

Note: This task is not common practice, as in a live system an open revision is always present.

Task 2: Create a new change request

Create and assign a new change request to a Data Scientist to add the model score fields as predictors to the Web_Click_Through_Rate adaptive model configuration.

Task 3: Include the adaptive model rule in the new change request

Include the Web_Click_Through_Rate model rule in the new change request, to allow modification of the rule by the assigned operator.

Task 4: Process the change request

As a Data Scientist, add the model scores to the adaptive model configuration as potential predictors.

Task 5: Complete the change request

As a Team Lead, complete and submit the change request to the revision manager for deployment.

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Initialization may take up to 5 minutes so please be patient.
