Scenario
You are asked to make a change to the sales process listed as part of the gap analysis results. The proposal stage requires an executive visit after the proposal development.
In the executive visit process, following two steps are needed:
- Schedule appointment – In the Schedule appointment step, the contact person and appointment date and time is captured.
- Enter feedback – The executive feedback is captured in the Enter feedback step.
Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:

Detailed Tasks
1 Add the Executive visit process
- Log in to your exercise environment as the system architect.
- In App Studio, click Case Types > Business opportunity to display the case type life cycle.
- In the upper-right corner of the Business opportunity, click Optional actions. All the processes are displayed.
- From the Proposal stage, click +ACTION and select Process to add an action item in the proposal stage.
- On the new action item, click in the Proposal (2) name field and enter Executive visit.
- Under the Executive visit action, click the Proposal (2) step. The name field is highlighted.
- In the name field, rename the step Schedule Appointment.
- From the Executive visit action item, click +STEP and select Collect information. The step's name field is highlighted.
- In the name field, enter Enter feedback to name the step in the Executive visit action item.
- In the upper-right corner, click Save to persist the changes.
2 Configure the views
- From the Executive visit action item, click the Schedule Appointment step. The configuration panel is displayed on the right.
- From the configuration panel, click Configure view. The Schedule appointment view is displayed.
- On the Fields section, click + Add.
- Click Fields, and then click Create new field.
- Enter the following values:
- Field: Contact person
- Type: Text (single line)
- Click Submit to add the field.
- Repeat steps 3-5 with the following values:
- Field: Appointment date/time
- Type: Date & time
- Click Submit to add the field.
- In the lower-right corner, click Submit to save the Schedule appointment view.
- From the Executive visit action item, click the Enter feedback step. The configuration panel is displayed on the right.
- From the configuration panel, click Configure view. The Enter feedback view is displayed.
- On the Fields section, click + Add.
- Click Fields, then click Create new field.
- Enter the following values:
- Field: Feedback
- Type: Text (paragraph)
- Click Submit to add the field.
- Click Submit to save the feedback view.
- In the upper-right corner, click Save to persist the changes.
Confirm your work
- Log in to your exercise system as the sales representative.
- On the left, from the Explorer panel, select Create > Business opportunity. The new business opportunity page is displayed.
- Enter the following values:
- Name: Dome Camera System
- Amount: 3215
- Close date: <14 days in the future>
- Stage: Proposal
- Account: Esso Petrol
- Forecast Category: Pipeline
- Click Submit to create a new opportunity.
- In the opportunity record, click Action menu, click Executive visit and verify that the Schedule Appointment form is displayed.
- On the form, enter the following values:
- Contact person: Anna Patel
- Appointment date/time: <enter a future date>
- Click Submit. The feedback form is displayed.
- On the form, enter the following value:
- Feedback: Executive meet with Anna Patel and other stakeholders. Customers are ready to sign.
- Click Submit. The Executive visit process is complete.
