Analyzing a Traditional UI Pega application

Scenario
U-Plus Bank wants to upgrade its Account Management application by moving from the traditional UI to the newer Constellation UI. This migration will help the bank improve its business operations by using the latest Pega features.
Before beginning the migration project, stakeholders have requested an estimate of the required effort. To provide an accurate estimate, the team needs to:
- Thoroughly understand the current application to identify and address potential issues early.
- Use the Constellation Modernization Assistant Component to:
- Analyze the existing application.
- Identify Rules that need adjustment.
- Ensure alignment with Constellation best practices.
- Review the analysis results to estimate the total migration effort.
This proactive approach will help reduce the likelihood of bugs appearing during testing.

Detailed Tasks
1 Install the Constellation Modernization Assistant Component
- In the Pega instance for the challenge, enter the following credentials:
- In the User name field, enter author@uplus.
- In the Password field, enter pega123!.
- Download the latest version of the tool from the Pega Marketplace.
- In the header of Dev Studio, click the name of the application, and then click Definition.
- On the Definition tab, in the Enabled components section, click Manage components.
- Select Install new and select the ZIP file that includes the component.
- Click Open.
- Confirm Status Enabled is selected to enable the new component for this application.
Note: The version of the Constellation Modernization Assistant component displayed in the following figure may not match the version you see in the Marketplace.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
2 Add application to System Runtime Context
- In the header of Dev Studio, click Configure > System > General > System Runtime Context.
- In the System Runtime Context tab, Applications section, confirm Account Mangement application is added and Save.
- Log out and log back in.
3 Generate the Modernization summary

- On the Constellation Modernization Assistant landing page, in the Select the list of applications to analyze section, select Account Management.
- Click to generate a Summary for Account Management.
Note: The analysis runs in the background and its duration varies based on the number of Rules in your application. You can navigate away from or return to this tab without affecting the operation.
