Scenario
As a Case progresses toward resolution, users often need to review information that was previously entered or referenced earlier in the Case Life Cycle. With Constellation applications, you can accomplish this outcome by using partial Views. Partial Views are read-only by default, entirely configurable, and easily insertable into other Views.
Note: For more information about partial Views, see Configuring partial Views.
In this challenge, you will configure the View associated with the Review Step by creating and combining several partial Views.
The following table provides the credentials you need to complete the challenge:

Detailed Tasks
1 Configure the Review Inner View
- In the Pega instance for the challenge, enter the following credentials:
- In the User name field, enter Author@SL.
- In the Password field, enter pega123!
- In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Case Types > Incident to open the Incident Case Type.
- Click the UX tab, and then click the Other Views tab.
- In the Partial section, click Create.
Note: Partial Views are read-only. Partial Views are for reviewing information that users previously entered or selected earlier in Case processing.
- In the Name field, enter Review Inner, confirm Details (one column) is selected, and then click Submit.
- Click Review Inner to configure the Review Inner View.
- In the Review Inner View, add the previously-created Views:
- Contact Info
- Determine Category
- Product Details
- Resolution Method
- Service Details
- Reorder the Views in the following order:
- Contact Info
- Determine Category
- Service Details
- Product Details
- Resolution Method
- In the Product Details View, set the Visibility Condition by using the Is Product Incident When Rule.
- In the Service Details View, set the Visibility Condition by using the Is Service Incident When Rule.
- Click Back to return to the Other Views tab.
- In the Form section, click Review View.
- In the Review View, add the previously-created Review Inner View.
- Click Back to return to the Other Views tab.
2 Add fields to the Incident Case Type
- In the Incident Case Type, click Data model to open the Data Model of the Case Type .
- Add the following fields to the Incident Case Type Data Model:
Name Type Calculated Field Expression User Consent Boolean Privacy Policy Boolean Privacy Policy URL URL "https://www.google.com" Terms and Conditions URL URL "https://www.google.com" - Click Save.
3 Create partial Views for Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy
- In the Incident Case Type, click the UX tab, and then click the Other Views tab.
- In the Partial section, create two new partial Views named Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Both should use the Details (One column) template. - Click Terms and Conditions link to configure the View.
- Add the Terms and Conditions URL field to the View.
- Click the Gear icon to configure the field:
- In the Field label field, enter Terms and Conditions.
- In the Edit mode list, select Read-only.
- In the Display as list, select URL.
- Click Save.
- On the Other Views tab, in the Partial section, click Privacy Policy link to configure the View.
- Add the Privacy Policy URL field to the View, and then click the Gear icon to configure the Privacy Policy URL field:
- In the Field label field, enter Privacy Policy.
- In the Edit mode list, select Read-only.
- In the Display as list, select URL.
- Click .
4 Configure the Review View
- Navigate back to the Other Views tab.
- In the Form section, create a View named User Consent using the Default form template.
- In the User Consent View, in the Fields section, add the following elements:
- Privacy Policy field.
- User Consent field.
- Privacy Policy View.
- Terms and Conditions View.
- Reorder the elements in the following order:
- User Consent field.
- Terms and Conditions View.
- Privacy Policy field.
- Privacy Policy View.
- In the User Consent field row, click the Gear icon, and then configure the field:
- Select the Hide label checkbox.
- In the Caption field, enter I agree to Terms and Conditions.
- In the Conditions section, In the Required list, select Always.
- Click Save.
- In the Privacy Policy field row, click the Gear icon, and then configure the field:
- Select the Hide Label checkbox.
- In the Caption field, enter Privacy Policy.
- In the Conditions section, in the Required list, select Always.
- Click Save.
- In the Terms and Conditions View row, click the Gear icon, and then clear the Show heading checkbox.
- Click Save.
- In the Privacy Policy View row, click the Gear icon, and then clear the Show heading checkbox.
- Click Save.
- Navigate back to the Other Views tab, open the Review View, and then add the User Consent View.
- Click Save.
Confirm your work
- In the header of App Studio, click Preview.
- Create a new Incident Case.
- Enter information as needed to navigate to the Review Step.
- Confirm that the Review Step displays all entered information, and that the User Consent partial View requires you to enable both the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy checkboxes.
