Scenario
U+ Bank is cross-selling on the web by offering credit-card offers to its customers. The bank wants to investigate whether customer groups that are represented by personas receive appropriate, tailor-made offers. The business team wants to create personas to verify this action.

Task 1: Create a new persona using the GenAI prompt
Use the GenAI feature to create a new persona based on a given prompt.
Note: Use the Persona Management landing page to create a new persona.

1 Create a new persona using the GenAI prompt
- On the exercise system landing page, click Pega InfinityTM to log in to Pega Customer Decision HubTM.
- Log in to Customer Decision Hub as a Decisioning Architect:
- In the User name field, enter DecisioningArchitect.
- In the Password field, enter rules.
- In the navigation pane of Customer Decision Hub, click Testing > Persona Management to open the Configuration landing page.
- On the Configuration landing page, click Create > Persona > New persona to create a new persona.
- On the Create new: Persona page, in the Entities section, click the Polaris icon to enable the Generate customer details with AI option.
- In the Generate customer details with AI field, enter the following prompt
- Click Generate.
- In the Entities section, click Customer to view the GenAI-generated customer properties.
- Ensure that the customer properties reflect your prompt: Young, low debt-to-income ratio, 0 credit card accounts, $10000 annual income.
Note: The purple color of the properties fields indicates that these are AI-generated properties. If any of the properties do not reflect your prompt, you can edit them manually to meet the business needs. AI generates the personal details of the customer. You can use the AI-generated personal name for your Persona. In this case, Pega GenAI generated the name John.
- On the Create new: Persona page, complete the following details:
- In the Name field, enter John.
- In the Description field, enter Persona John.
- In the Do you want this persona to participate in an Impact Analyzer test?, ensure that No radio button is selected.
- In the Tags field, enter low_debt, young.
Note: Tags are the labels that you add to personas for identification and easier searching. For example, tags for Troy are based on the customer properties of the Troy customer, and they take into consideration engagement policy rules. The new_customer tag means that Troy has been a customer of the bank for less than or equal to 90 days. Financailly_vulnerable means that Troy does not meet the suitability condition Is financially vulnerable=false. Low_debt means that the Debt-to-income ratio for Troy is less than or equal to 48.
- Click Save to save your persona.
- If the newly created persona does not automatically display on the Persona Management landing page, click the Refresh icon.
