Updating the customer composite

Scenario

You are being asked to create a new composite tab to display a summary of contact information. This will give agents one click access to get contact information.

Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:

Role User name Password
CS Application Administrator CSAppAdmin password123!

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:

Task 1: Create a new tab

As part of the Interaction case type, create a new tab named Contact Summary.

Task 2: Add fields to a tab

Configure the Contact Summary tab to display the following properties in a two column layout:

  • Contact name
  • Contact real time > Fields > Age
  • Contact real time > Fields > Best time to contact
  • Contact real time > Fields > Communication preference
  • Contact real time > Fields > Birth date
  • Contact real time > Fields > Churn risk
  • Contact real time > Fields > Lifetime value
  • Contact real time > Fields > Marital status

 

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Detailed Tasks

1 Create a new tab

  1. Log in as a Data Scientist, with username CSAppAdmin using password password123!.
  2. In the left navigation, click Control Panel.
  3. Click Case Types.
  4. Click Interaction.
  5. Click UX.
  6. On the Full Page View tab, In the Tabs section, click + Add to create a new tab.
  7. Name your tab Contact Summary and click Submit.

2 Add fields to a tab

  1. On the Full Page View tab, In the Tabs section, click Contact Summary.
  2. Click Edit, to change the layout of the tab.
  3. Select Two column and click Submit.
  4. In Region A, click + Add.
  5. Add the following fields to your tab:
    • Fields > Contact name
    • Fields > Contact real time > Fields > Age
    • Fields > Contact real time > Fields > Best time to contact
    • Fields > Contact real time > Fields > Communication preference
    • Fields > Contact real time > Fields > Marital status
  6. Click Add 5.
  7. In Region B, click + Add.
  8. Add the following fields to your tab
    • Fields > Contact real time > Fields > Birth date
    • Fields > Contact real time > Fields > Churn risk
    • Fields > Contact real time > Fields > Lifetime value
  9. Click Add 3.

Confirm your work

  1. In the App Studio header, click Preview.
  2. Click + > Demo Pop: Steve Smith, verified, to start a phone interaction with Steve Smith.
  3. Click Accept to answer the call.
  4. Click the Content Summary tab.
  5. Verify the properties you added.

  6. Click Wrap Up and click on Submit conclude your interaction.
