Scénario

Joel King, a channel manager, has been assigned a new partner called Fluxystems, which he wants to onboard. To start, Fluxystems has only one partner seller named Maria Davis. As part of partner onboarding, Joel always shares the article “How to sell more” with the new partner. Fluxystems is going to take over Acme Software, so Joel wants to share the organization.

Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:

Task 1: Add Fluxystems as a partner organization and share onboarding collateral.

Task 2: Add Maria Davis as a partner seller.

Task 3: Share the Acme Software organization with Fluxystems.

Task 4: As Maria, verify access to the organization, onboarding collateral, and lead.

1 Add Fluxystems as a partner organization and share the onboarding collateral

1. Log in as channel manager Joel King.
2. Open the Partners landing page.
3. Click Create partner.
4. On the new Partner page, populate the form with the following values:
   1. Name: Fluxystems
   2. Operator Access Required?: True
   3. Territory: West
5. Under Onboarding articles, select How to sell more.
6. Click Create.

2 Add Maria Davis as a partner seller

1. Open the Partner seller tab.
2. Click on the Plus icon.
3. On the Operator Details page, populate the form with the following values:
   1. Operator id: mdavis
   2. Password: rules
   3. First name: Maria
   4. Last name: Davis
   5. Email: [email protected]
4. Click Next.
5. On the Operator Access page, populate the form with the following value:
   1. Operator type: Partner sales representatives
6. Click Next.
7. Click Next.

3 Share the Acme Software organization with Fluxystems

1. Open the Organizations landing page.
2. Click Acme Software to open the organization.
3. Click Share.
4. On the Share page, populate the form with the following values:
   1. Type: Partner organization
   2. Partner organization: Fluxystems
5. Click Add.
6. Click Submit.

4 Confirm access to organization, onboarding collateral, and lead

1. Log in as partner seller Maria Davis.
2. Open the Onboarding landing page.
3. Verify that the How to sell more article is in the list.
4. Open the Organizations landing page.
5. Verify that Acme Software is in the list.
6. Click Acme Software to open the organization record.
