Scénario

U+ Bank has been using its Customer Service application for some time now. The U+ Bank customer service leadership team wants it to include another Service request, Wire Transfer, to improve services to its customers. As an application administrator, you have been tasked with creating this service request. Use Pega GenAI Blueprint™ to quickly create a new Service request and test it by running an interaction.

Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:

Task 1: Update the Blueprint with a new service request

Update the existing application's Blueprint to include a new service request.

Task 2: Extend the existing application to include the new service request

Use App Studio to extend the existing application to include the new Service request in it.

1 Create blueprint with the new service request

1. Navigate to the URL The AI-Powered Platform for Enterprise Transformation | Pega in a new browser window to update the blueprint.
2. Click Build a Blueprint.
3. Click on the Blueprint of your application that you have built in the earlier challenge.
4. In the Application Context step, In Which industry is your application for? screen, click Next.
5. Repeat step 4 for Select a sub-industry: and Share more about your Retail Banking application: screens.
6. In Workflows step, in Let's define your workflows using Pega Case Types. screen, click +Add a Case Type.
7. In Add a Case Type dialog box, in the Case Type field, enter Wire Transfer and in the Case Type description textbox, enter Process a request to transfer funds electronically from a customer's account to another account, either domestically or internationally. This involves verifying the customer's identity, validating the recipient's account details, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The system should also provide real-time tracking of the transfer status.
8. Click Save.
9. The system adds Wire Transfer Case Type to the Case Types list. Click Next.
10. After your Blueprint is generated, in Workflow Details step, in Define workflow details for: screen, review the Case Lifecycle, Case Data Model and then click Next.
11. Repeat step 10 for the Data & Integrations, Personas and Features steps.
12. On the Summary step, download the Blueprint to your desktop.

2 Extend the existing application to include the new service request

1. In the instance for the challenge, click Pega Infinity™ to log in as a Customer Service application administrator:
   1. In the User name field, enter CSAppAdmin
   2. In the Password field, enter password123!
2. In the header of instance, click on Dev Studio and select App Studio to go to App Studio.
3. In the header of App Studio, click Customer Service for Financial Services > Extend application with Blueprint.
4. Select Upload a Blueprint, and then click Select a Blueprint to upload.
5. Select the Blueprint file you created for Task 1 of this challenge, and then click Open.
6. Review the Blueprint details, and then click Next.
7. In Case Types step, in all the Case Types that are already existing in the application, in Build Case Type list, select Do not build.
8. Only the Wire Transfer Case Type, in Build Case Type list, select From Blueprint, and then click Next.
9. Review the Data Objects step, and then click Next.
10.  Repeat step 9 for the Personas, Features and Configurations steps, and then click Submit.
    Note:  After you click Submit, App Studio creates your application based on the Blueprint. The process usually requires several minutes to finish.

11. Click Continue to application.
