Creating the initial Blueprint

Framing establishes the problem the business needs to address, the outcome it wants to achieve, and the scope and context the design must reflect. The Solution Designer now turns that understanding into an initial Blueprint the business can examine, shape, and advance.

This module develops the judgment required to compose business-specific application context, use existing material purposefully, generate and shape an initial Blueprint, and assess what the AI-generated design reveals. You will continue the U+ Travel engagement as its framing evidence becomes Blueprint input, its initial journey is selected for minimum loveable product (MLP) 1, and its Blueprint is assessed as a foundation for more detailed design.

After completing this module, you should be able to:

Compose application context that reflects the business, its operational scale, transformation intent, agreed outcome, and operating environment.

Evaluate existing material to determine what evidence should influence the Blueprint and what should be reconsidered based on the intended future of the business.

Select supporting assets and synthesized insights that provide relevant, business-specific evidence for generation.

Define how the business will use the Blueprint and apply that purpose when shaping the generated design.

Identify consequential decisions within the Blueprint and focus an initial Case Type as the end-to-end journey for MLP 1.

Choose among the AI Assistant, manual editing tools, and regeneration based on the evidence, scope, and significance of the change.

Assess what an AI-generated Blueprint contributes and identify assumptions, missing information, useful suggestions, and areas requiring further attention.

Apply relevant assessment perspectives, determine what each finding requires, and recommend whether the initial Blueprint is ready to advance.
