Robotics Autopilot

Pega Robotics Autopilot™ is an intelligent assistant that helps Robotic Developers create and maintain robotic projects. It is equipped with a set of commands and AI-powered features that it can perform automatically within the project to streamline robotic project development.

To access Autopilot, select Ask Autopilot™ icon in the bottom-right corner of Pega Robot Studio.

Note: Robotics Autopilot requires both Pega Robot Studio 25.1.12 and Pega Robot Manager 25.1.2 or later.

Using Robotics Autopilot

To start interacting with Robotics Autopilot, you can select or type in What can I do command to see possible options, as shown in the following figure:

The Robotics Autopilot window with the list of commands.

When you run a command, Robotics Autopilot will either execute it automatically or guide you through each step, depending on the command's requirements. This ensures your project maintains high quality and follows best development practices.

Autopilot commands

Robotics Autopilot offers two types of commands. The first type operates within standalone Pega Robot Studio, allowing you to perform basic actions such as adding applications, running tests, or saving your project. The second type, including commands like interrogation or automation, requires a connection to a Pega Robot Manager instance with Pega GenAI configured. For more information about setting up and using Robotics Autopilot with Pega GenAI, see: Configuring Pega GenAI for Pega Robotics Autopilot

Best practices in using Robotics Autopilot

Robotics Autopilot is designed to follow best practices and create automations that are maintainable, reusable, and include proper error handling. To get the most out of this feature, use clear and concise prompts, apply consistent naming conventions, and plan your project carefully. For more information about planning your project implementation, see: Considerations when creating automations with Robotics Autopilot
