Scenario
You are a stakeholder at ABC Telecom who wants to see how a Pega Sales Automation™ can be tailored to your organization's specific business needs and streamline and enhance the development of sales automation applications. By using Pega GenAI Blueprint™, you plan to create a Sales Automation application, integrate industry-specific use cases, and confirm the application's functionality across various interfaces. As a result, you can rapidly prototype and accelerate your development process.
Create a new Sales Automation Blueprint for the Telecommunications industry by accessing the Pega GenAI Blueprint | Pega URL. Enter all the required fields, and then add and edit a new Customer Onboarding Case Type. Continue through the settings to review and confirm predefined Data Objects, Personas, and features. After you create the Blueprint, preview the application to see how it looks and functions across different interfaces.

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:
Task 1: Create a new Sales Automation based blueprint
Access the Pega GenAI Blueprint | Pega URL to create a new Sales Automation Blueprint for Telecommunications industry. Add a new Customer Onboarding Case Type for a new telecom account by importing a BPMN file from the ZIP file, and then view and edit the Case Lifecycle by adding a SIM Card activation Step in the Order Processes Stage. Continue through the settings to review and confirm predefined Data Objects, Personas, and features.
Task 2: Confirm your work
Preview the application to see how it looks and functions across different interfaces by using the Preview my app option.

1 Create a new Sales Automation Blueprint
- Open the Pega GenAI Blueprint | Pega link in a new tab to get started with Pega GenAI Blueprint.
- Enter your business email address to receive a Blueprint access code.
Note: You can also log in with your email address and password.
- In the upper-right corner of My Blueprint Dashboard, click Create a Blueprint.
- Click Communications to select your industry, and then click Next.
- Click Consumer Telecommunications to select your sub-industry.
- In the Department/function list, select Sales Management, and then click Next.
- In the Application purpose list, select Sales Automation to use the default template.
- This action auto-populates the functional description. You can add additional details to your case lifecycle if needed. With this selection, you can use the default Sales Automation horizontal template provided to you. In the Organization name field, enter ABC Telecom.
- In the Language list, select English.
- In the Location list, select United States, and then click Next.
The list of default Case Types is displayed.
- Click Add a Case Type.
- In the Add a Case Type dialog box, complete the details:
- In the Case Type field, enter a name for the new Case Type.
For example, Customer Onboarding. - In the Case Type description field, enter the description that you want to have for the Case Type.
For example, Customer onboarding for a telecom new account. - In the Build Lifecycle from BPMN field, click choose file to import the Customer Onboarding.bpmn file.
Note: Download the Customer Onboarding.bpmn file from the ZIP file.
- Click Save.
- In the Case Type field, enter a name for the new Case Type.
- Ensure that Blueprint added the new Case Type to the list, and then click Next.
- On the Workflow Details step, click Business Lead > Customer Onboarding to define the workflow details.
The Customer Onboarding Case Lifecycle is displayed.
- In the Process Order stage, click Add Step.
- In the Add Step dialog box, complete the details:
- In the Type list, select Automation.
- In the Name field, enter SIM Card activation.
- Click Save.
- Click Next to see the predefined data objects included in this Sales Automation application.
- Click Next to see the personas involved in this Sales Automation application.
- Click Next to see the list of the features.
You can enable or disable these features for the Sales Automation application. - Click Next, and then confirm that your Blueprint creation completed successfully.
