Scenario

Your business is opening a new branch in Australia. An Australian territory needs to be added, and local business territories need to be created using the following territory hierarchy: Global will be the parent territory for Australia, and Australia will be the parent territory for Queensland and Victoria. 

Sophia Anderson will manage Australia and Benjamin Miller will manage Queensland and Victoria.

Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:

Task 1: Create the territory hierarchy for Australia.

Task 2: Add members to the territory.

Detailed Tasks

1 Create the territory hierarchy for Australia

1. Log in to your exercise system as sales operations user.
   1. In the User name field, enter salessampleops.
   2. In the Password field, enter rules.
2. On the left, in the Navigation panel, click Create > Territory.
3. In the Create Territory form, enter the following information.
   1. Territory dimension: Region
   2. Name: Australia
   3. Parent territory: Global
   4. Owner: Sophia Anderson
4. Click Submit to add the territory record.
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for Queensland.
   1. Territory dimension: Region
   2. Name: Queensland
   3. Parent territory: Australia
   4. Owner: Benjamin Miller
6. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for Victoria.
   1. Territory dimension: Region
   2. Name: Victoria
   3. Parent territory: Australia
   4. Owner: Benjamin Miller

2 Add members to the new territories

1. On the left, in the Navigation panel, click Territories.
2. Click Australia.
3. Click Actions > Manage users.
4. In the Manage users dialog box, click Add.
5. In the User name table, in the dropdown list, select Benjamin Miller.
6. Click Submit.
7. Repeat steps 2-6 to add Noah Smith to the Victoria territory.
