Agile Studio and Agile Workbench
With the Agile Project Management System in Pega Platform™, development teams and stakeholders can run projects by using the industry best practice Scrum methodology. Agile Studio integrates with Dev Studio in Pega Platform for traceability between the developer environment and the project management system. It is best practice to use Agile Studio to track project status, and having this understanding is essential for a Lead System Architect (LSA).
In Agile Studio, you can manage releases for Pega applications and features by using an agile Scrum methodology. Agile Studio focuses on three core pillars:
- Plan future development and product needs through releases.
- Manage your teams, the backlogs, and the technical debt to make sure that you can deliver your releases effectively.
- Run the planned work by enabling your teams to complete their assigned work.
About Agile Workbench
You can configure the Agile Workbench tool to integrate with Agile Studio to synchronize bugs and user stories between the two systems. In addition, you can improve traceability in your development environment by using the Current work feature to associate a user story or bug with development changes.

Points to consider
The following list contains the points that an LSA should consider about using Agile Studio and Agile Workbench:
- Agile Workbench enables continuous collaboration by eliminating the translation gap between business and IT.
- The Pega Express™ approach to application development ensures business engagement from start to finish. With Agile Workbench, you can facilitate real-time and continuous feedback and collaboration between business and IT throughout development.
- Your development team receives business feedback seamlessly through the tools and applications that they use, which reduces unnecessary emails and meetings. Agile Workbench automatically sends feedback to Agile Studio or a preferred third-party agile project management tool such as Rally or Jira.
- The system converts the feedback into user stories on which IT performs work in the back end, which saves time that might go into copying and pasting content from one system to another.
- Business and IT iterate faster with Agile Workbench to deliver the minimum lovable product to customers in less than 90 days. Business is engaged in every step of the application development process, delivering higher-quality applications in less time.
