Authoring knowledge articles with Pega GenAI™
The Pega Knowledge Authoring Portal now has AI-generated options to support you in creating and improving content. With just one click you can access AI-generated assistance for article titles, abstracts, and content bodies. The AI-assisted authoring options simplify content creation and help you maintain consistency across the organization.

Before a Knowledge Author can use Pega GenAI features, a Prompt Manager must create the GenAI prompts. The author then uses them to obtain assistance as needed. Only users with the Prompt Manager role can create prompts.
In this demonstration the Prompt Manager creates two new prompts, one for the article abstract and one for the article content.
The Prompt Manager role should be assigned to users skilled at creating AI prompts that effectively convey the desired task or context for more accurate and relevant results.
Knowledge Authors can access customized AI assistance for titles, abstracts, or content bodies by clicking AI options next to the corresponding article element.
Here we see the author provides a title for the article, then uses the newly created prompt to create an abstract based on the article title.
The second prompt creates the content body. A third use of Pega GenAI reformats the article to make it easier for users to read, without changing the content itself.
The article is then submitted for approval and publishing, following the standard publishing process.
