Constellation tables
Tables in Constellation enable users to quickly and easily parse data, and have the following features:
Sorting, filtering, and grouping
Users can easily sort, filter, and group table data to efficiently organize and analyze information. You can display frequently used filters in the header of a table, for easy access. These promoted filters can be displayed as a search box, a list, or as a Condition Builder, depending on the configuration.
The following figure shows a table with promoted filters:
Customized Views
Users can save customized Views of table data to use in the future, as well as export table data. This gives users quick access to the same View of table data whenever necessary, without having to manually re-sort, re-filter, or re-group the data each time.
Extended data
Users can view additional information on table data (such as Insights on table values) directly within a table itself, without needing to switch tabs. Any additional information on a value is displayed in a dialog box in the same window as the table, which reduces clicks and context switching.
The following figure shows a table displaying a dialog box with an Insight:
Adjustable sizing and infinite scrolling
Users can easily adjust a table’s height and column size for better readability. Constellation tables also scroll infinitely and do not require pagination.
