Generating Case Data using Pega GenAI Autopilot

Pega GenAI™ Autopilot accelerates the creation of the sample data that is necessary to facilitate testing in Pega Platform™.

Generating Data Records

Autopilot simplifies application development by creating sample records for your data objects. During testing, you can use these sample Data Records in place of data in external systems of record that do not yet have integration with the application.

For example, in a fraud investigation application for U+ Bank, you add Data Records to the Beneficiary data object.

After selecting the Beneficiary data object, click the Records tab, and then click Generate sample records with Autopilot.

As seen in the following figure, this action opens a dialog box where you can edit the number of sample data records that you want Autopilot to create:

Identifying the number of sample data records to be created by Autopilot.

In this example, Autopilot generates three sample Data Records for the Beneficiary data object.

The three sample Data Records that Autopilot generates for the Beneficiary data object are shown in the following figure:

The data records generated by Autopilot.

Autopilot generates information for all fields in the data object. Each Data Record contains values that correspond to the Type associated with each field. For example, the Email field is an Email type; therefore, Autopilot provides an email address as the value.

In the following figure, the Data Records that Autopilot creates and saves to an application are available for use when testing Cases:

Populating form data

Autopilot can also populate form data when you are testing your Case Type.

When testing a Case, click Fill form with AI to populate a form View with data. As shown in the following figure, Autopilot completes the form with data based on the fields included in the form:

Using Autopilot to populate data in fields at runtime.

The fields that Autopilot populates then integrate into the data that the system uses to resolve the Case, as shown in the following figure:

By both automating the process of creating Data Records for data object and populating field data at runtime, Autopilot simplifies the process of testing applications while data sources are still under development.
