You can import the task backlog directly to Jira.

Import to Jira allows for the direct management of the backlog by using Jira project management software.

The backlog is available as a JSON import file. Once imported, the file generates the full structure down to the task level.

Atlassian provides a free limited version of Jira to download in which you can try out importing the MLP backlog.

To import, you must download the Jira import file to your local drive.

Use the following steps to import the MLP backlog into Jira:

  1. First, you need to import the structure. The import process creates a new project with a key of MLPX the associated epics user stories, tasks, and default owners.
  2. To perform the import, access Jira as a user with administration privileges.
  3. From the administration menu, select System from the administration menu.
  4. Next, select the external system import.
  5. Then, select JSON as the product.
  6. Click Choose File, and then select the MLPX.json file for import.

Jira imports the project. This should result in your own MLP project imported in Jira.
