Scenario

HRApps provides payroll setup for employees. For the Payroll Setup Case Type, an employee provides their bank information for direct deposit. When the employee changes the payment information, the auditing team wants to record the change in the Case history for availability during a potential audit. Configure HRApps to record changes to the Bank name, Account number, and Routing number fields in the Payroll Setup Case Type.

The following table provides the credentials you need to complete the challenge.

Detailed Tasks

1 Configure the application to track changes

  1. In the Pega instance for the challenge, enter the following credentials:
    1. In the User name field, enter SSA@TGB.
    2. In the Password field, enter pega123!.
  2. In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Case types > Payroll Setup to open the Payroll Setup Case Type.
  3. Click Settings > Auditing.
  4. Turn on the Enable field audit switch to display the fields section.
  5. In the list of fields, select the following checkboxes:
    • Account number
    • Bank name
    • Routing number

Confirm your work

  1. In the Payroll Setup Case Type, click Save and run to run a new instance of the Payroll Setup Case Type.
  2. Complete all required fields.
  3. Advance the Case to the Provide bank information Step.
  4. On the Provide bank information form, complete all the fields.
  5. Click Submit to complete the Assignment.
  6. In the summary panel, click Actions > View history to view the Case history.
  7. In the History window, click the Field History tab to view the changes to the payment information fields.
  8. Verify that the changes to the Account numberBank name, and Routing number fields are recorded.
