Scenario

Acme Technologies uses Pega GenAI Coach™ to enhance their sales team's efficiency. The company wants to create an Opportunity Landing Page Coach that tracks the opportunities that have had significant changes, identify opportunities that are at risk of closing, and identify stagnant opportunities that have had no activity for 14 days or more.

As a sales administrator, you are tasked with creating an Opportunity Landing Page Coach to help sales managers maintain consistent engagement, act on crucial insights, and sustain momentum. The Coach should provide real-time updates on opportunities, highlight urgent and high-risk deals, and suggest specific actions to re-engage stagnant opportunities, ensuring that the sales team can effectively manage their pipeline and drive results.

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:

Task 1: Create an Opportunity Landing page Coach

Create an Opportunity Landing page Coach in the GenAI Coach section.

Task 2: Set up Definitions for the Coach

On the Definition tab, provide system instructions and pre-configure some questions to enhance user interactions with the Coach.

Task 3: Add Data sources for the Coach

On the Data sources tab, add data pages to answer questions by the Coach.

Task 4: Add the Opportunity Landing page Coach as a widget

In the SAPortal channel interface, add the Opportunity Landing page Coach to the Opportunities landing page.

Task 5: Confirm your work

Test the scenario by logging in as a sales manager. Begin the interaction by asking pre-defined questions about opportunities in the Pega GenAI Coach widget.

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Detailed Tasks

1 Before you begin

You can download the sample System Instructions or prompt to clearly define the role you want the Coach to embody, and to generate responses for the pre-configured questions.

2 Create an Opportunity Landing page Coach

  1. In the Pega instance for the challenge, click Launch Pega Infinity to log in to the Sales Automation application:
    1. In the User name field, enter SalesSampleAdmin.
    2. In the Password field, enter rules.
  2. Switch to Dev Studio, and then in the header of Dev Studio, click Create > Generative AI > GenAI Coach.

  3. In the Label field, enter the name of the Coach as Opportunity Landing page Coach.
  4. In the Context section, enter the following details:
    1. In the Save to Branch field, select No branch. Ensure that you selected the Sales Automation application.
    2. In the Apply to field, enter the class as Data-Portal.
    3. In the Add to ruleset field, select the SAPlusC11n Ruleset and the 08-24-52 version.
  5. Click Create and Open.

3 Set up definitions for the Coach

  1. On the Definition tab, in the System Instructions field, enter a definition that summarizes the role that you want the Pega GenAI Coach to assume, as well as the prompt responses to the questions.
    You can download the sample System Instructions or prompt to clearly define the role you want the Coach to embody, and to generate responses for the pre-configured questions.
  2. In the Starter Question section, in the Question field, enter an initial question that Coach asks as soon as it is launched. For example, Which opportunities in my territory have seen the most significant changes recently?
  3. In the Additional Instructions field, enter some relevant text: Analyze [Opportunity Details], [Opportunity Contacts],[Tasks & Activities] and [Engagement Details] to answer this question.
Note: Additional Instructions are not displayed in the Coach conversation.
  1. In the Quick-Select Question section, enter questions and their additional instructions that you can choose at any time during the interaction with the Coach, as follows:

4 Add Data sources for the Coach

  1. On the Data sources tab, click Add data page to add a data source.
  2. In the Name field, enter the name for the data source as Opportunities interactions details.
  3. In the Data Page field, enter the name of the Data Page as D_OpportunitiesEngagementDetailsForCoach.
  4. In the Apply data transform field, enter the Data Transform that is applied to the Data Page as MapOppInteractionToJSON
  5. Click Save.

5 Add the Opportunity Landing page Coach as a widget

  1. In the Sales Automation application, select Chanels and interfaces > SAPortal.

  2. On the Content tab, select Landing pages > Opportunities.
  3. In the GenAITM Coaches section, click Add.
  4. Select the Opportunity Landing page Coach, and then click Add.

  6. Log out of Dev studio.
