Scenario
GoGoRoad Product Managers want to restrict access to development on the New Vendor Case Type so that only approved roles have the ability to perform any action on New Vendor Cases.
You have been assigned the task of configuring permissions on the New Vendor Case Type to prevent anyone with the User Persona from performing creating, updating, editing, or deleting New Vendor Cases.
As a new System Architect, your Lead System Architect has given you a collection of technical documentation links to help you get started.
The following table provides the credentials you need to complete the challenge:

1 Use Role-based Access Control
Read the technical documentation provided to complete the assigned tasks. The technical documentation might have more information than you need.
Acceptance Criteria
Note that based on the scenario you develop, not all of these tasks need to be done:
- In the GoGoRoad application, the Users Persona is configured to not have access to open, modify, run reports, or view the audit history for the New Vendor Case Type.
- The "user" (i.e. user@gogoroad) is included in the GoGoRoad application, and they are assigned the Persona of User.
Directions
- In the Pega instance for the challenge, enter the following credentials:
- In the User name field, enter author@gogoroad.
- In the Password field, enter pega123!.
- In App Studio, configure the Users Persona so that they do not have the access to perform actions related to the New Vendor Case Type. Details are provided in the Acceptance criteria.
Confirm your work
- From the App Studio header, click Preview.
- Create a New Vendor Case, and confirm that you can create a new vendor.
- Log off and log back in with the following credentials:
- In the User name field, enter user@gogoroad.
- In the Password field, enter pega123!.
- Verify that the operator user@gogoroad does not have access to perform any Actions on the New Vendor Case Type.
