Scenario
U+ Bank’s Marketing team has used Pega Customer Engagement Blueprint™ to accelerate development of a customer engagement strategy for cross-selling credit card products to existing customers. Now, the team wants to import the blueprint into Pega Customer Decision Hub™ to implement the new engagement strategy experiences instantly.

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:
Task 1: Download the blueprints
Download the Customer Engagement blueprint file and save it to your computer.
Task 2: Create from blueprint
As a business user, upload the Customer Engagement blueprint file (.cdhblueprint), review the imported actions and treatments, map the blueprint business structure (issue and group) to your system, and then generate and validate the imported artifacts.
Task 3: Confirm your work
After importing your blueprint, review the artifacts on the Content Landing Page to confirm your work.
Detailed Tasks
1 Download the blueprint
- Download the Customer Engagement blueprint created by U+ Bank.
- Extract the file(.zip) and save it to your computer.
2 Create from blueprint
- On the exercise system landing page, click Pega InfinityTM to log in to 1:1 Operations Manager as a Business User:
- In the User name field, enter BusinessUser.
- In the Password field, enter rules.
- In the navigation pane of 1:1 Operations Manager, click Create > Create from Blueprint to start the import process.
- In the Create from Blueprint dialog box, in the Blueprint file field, click Upload and then browse for and upload your blueprint file (
.cdhblueprint). - Review the imported actions and treatments.
- Click Next to map the business structure.
Note: In this step, you map the blueprint business structure to your system issue and group. In this scenario, Grow / Credit Cards is auto-mapped to the system issue and group. Similarly, you can map the structure according to your business context. This ensures that the imported actions align with your system's business context and can be used effectively in decisioning.
- Review the mapping and click Next to map the channels.
- Review the channel mapping and click Submit.
- On the Create from Blueprint page, review the artifacts to be generated.
Note: Click the Edit icon to modify the artifacts, if needed.
- Click Generate to generate the artifacts.
- In the To Do section, click Go to complete the Verify imported artifacts task.
- Verify the artifacts and click Submit.
- Confirm that the status of the change request is Resolved-Completed and that the blueprint import is successful.
3 Confirm your work
- In the navigation pane of 1:1 Operations Manager, click Content to open the Content landing page.
- On the Actions tab, review the imported actions.
Note: The imported artifacts are inactive by default and need further refinement before they are deployed to production. Remember that imported elements require customization and optimization based on your specific business requirements and customer engagement strategies.
- Click the Treatments tab.
- On the Treatments tab, click Email to review the imported email treatments.
