Scenario
The sales representatives want to see the contacts list instead of quarterly sales comparison on the dashboard. As a member of the sales operations team you have been asked to update the default dashboard for the sales representatives.
Replace the Quarterly sales comparison widget with the Report widget in the default sales representative dashboard. Configure the report widget to display the Contacts List report in the Account and Contact Reports category.

1 Update default sales representative dashboard
- Log in to your exercise system as sales operations user.
- On the left, from the Explorer panel, click Tools. The Tools options are displayed.
- In the Personalize settings, click Sales rep's dashboard to select the default dashboard.
- In the upper-right corner of the dashboard, click the Gear icon to edit the dashboard.
- In the Slot 3, click the Trash can icon next to Quarterly sales comparison to delete the widget from the dashboard.
- Click Add Widget(s) to add a widget to the slot.
- On the Add widgets to slot form, scroll down and select Report widget.
- Click Add selected to add the Report widget to the slot.
- From the Edit dashboard panel, select the Report widget that you just added. The widget options are displayed.
- From the Category drop-down, select Account and Contact Reports.
- From the Report drop-down, select the report Contacts List.
- Click Save to configure the Report widget to display the selected report.
- On the Edit dashboard panel, select Publish to access group to update the default dashboard for the Sales Managers.
2 Confirm your work
- Log in to your exercise system as sales representative Terry Mason.
- Verify that the Contacts List report is displayed in the Report widget on the dashboard.
