Scenario

As a marketer, I want to configure Blueprint settings by selecting outcomes and channels, then review AI-generated customer personas and brand characteristics, so that I understand how AI creates customer segments and ensures brand consistency.

Description

After defining U+ Bank's engagement context in Use Case 1, you must configure the Blueprint settings that shape your engagement strategy. The Blueprint agent has identified the Industry and products from the website. Now, you select the business outcomes (Acquire, Grow, or Retain), and engagement channels (Email, Web, Mobile, etc.), that determine the scope of your strategy.

The Blueprint Agent's AI then generates customer personas based on its website analysis and selected outcomes. These personas represent different customer segments with unique needs, behaviors, and preferences. The AI also extracts brand voice characteristics and visual identity elements from the website to ensure that all customer communications maintain brand consistency.

This use case helps you understand when to trust AI-generated output and when to supplement it with human market research expertise.

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Initialization may take up to 5 minutes so please be patient.

Detailed Tasks

1 Other details

The outcome selection determines the type of experiences that the AI generates. The "Grow" outcome focuses on cross-sell and upsell opportunities for existing customers, aligning with U+ Bank's objective of promoting credit cards to checking account customers.

Channel selection determines where customers will receive engagement communications. Selecting multiple channels creates an omnichannel strategy with consistent messaging across touchpoints.

AI persona generation analyzes the target audience based on industry patterns, website content, and the selected business outcome. The process typically takes 30-60 seconds and generates 5 detailed customer personas with demographics, goals, behaviors, preferences, and pain points.

Brand analysis extracts voice characteristics for example, empathetic, trustworthy, personalized, and visual identity elements  such as the color palette and design style from the website. This ensures that the AI-generated experiences align with established brand guidelines.

2 Acceptance criteria

  • You access your U+ Bank Blueprint from Use case 1 and proceed to the Setup step.
Note: Verify that you are working on the correct products. For example, Credit Cards, Checking Accounts, and Savings Accounts. If you update the products to align with your requirements, make sure to regenerate the blueprint artifacts, if prompted.
  • You select "Grow" as the business outcome after consulting with the Blueprint Agent about why this outcome aligns with U+ Bank's cross-sell objective.
  • You select "Email" and "Web" as engagement channels to create omnichannel touchpoints.
  • The AI successfully generates 5 customer personas with complete profiles, including demographics, financial goals, behaviors, preferences, and pain points.
  • You critically evaluate when AI-generated personas are sufficient, and when human market research is needed for your specific use case.
  • You review the AI-generated brand voice characteristics, for example, Empathetic, Accessible, Encouraging, Trustworthy, and Personalized.
  • You use the Blueprint Agent to explore questions such as "Why do we need personas?" and "How would traditional market research differ from AI persona generation?"
