Scenario

In the initial phase of the project, the U+ Comms technical team plans to send a single SMS message to its subscriptions. The team wants to create an SMS treatment for one of the actions to confirm that the SMS output is populated with the correct values.

 

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

1. Create a new external SMS treatment for the Download Mobile App action with the following details:

   Requirement	Content
   Name	Download Mobile App SMS
   Description	Download Mobile App
   Language	English
   Keycode	DMA_SMS_01
   Template type	File
   File template	SMSDeliveryTemplate
   SMSMessage	"Hi " + {Subscribers full name} + " experience the convenience of the UComms application! Download it now!"

2. Replace the {Subscriber's full name} with the actual value to personalize the SMS message.
   Tip: To concatenate a text with a placeholder, use "+". Ensure that the text is between double quotes ("").

3. Associate the SMS treatment with the Download Mobile App action.
4. Define a new action flow in the Download Mobile App action to send an SMS.

2 Acceptance criteria

1. An SMS treatment is created for the Download Mobile App action with the given configuration.
2. The treatment contains the full name of the subscriber as a placeholder.
3. The action flow is configured to send an SMS using the default options.
