After the decisioning architects and business stakeholders completed the initial data mapping exercise, U+ Comms confirmed that the 1:1 communication data model is an excellent fit for their needs.

As a system administrator, create a new operator with the appropriate access group. This operator will be responsible for running the setup wizard and configuring the application that utilizes the communications data model and Next Best Action designer template.

Tip: A variation of this scenario exists in Pega Customer Decision Hub setup wizard.


You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Initialization may take up to 5 minutes so please be patient.

Detailed Tasks

1 Other details

  1. Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:
    Role User name Password
    System administrator SystemAdmin rules
  1. As the System administrator, create a new user named SystemArchitect with the necessary with the following details:
    Field Value

    Operator ID


    Access Group







    Allow rule check out


    Login password


    Caution: In the Security tab, ensure that the Allow rule check out checkbox is selected.
  1. Log in to the system as the SystemArchitect and run the Customer Decision Hub setup wizard, then set up the CDH application using the following details:
    Field Value

    Organization Name


    Application Name


    Industry Template




    Caution: Ensure that the OperatorID, Application Name, Organization Name, Industry Template, and Repository values are entered exactly as provided above.
    As you proceed with the setup wizard, you may encounter a warning message that reads, "Ensure you include the Next Best Action Advisor connector for Customer Decision Hub component from the marketplace before using the Template." Ignore this warning, as Next Best Action Advisor is not needed to complete the assignment.

2 Acceptance criteria

  1. SystemArchitect user is created.
  2. The following applications are created with the correct names:
    1. Customer Decision Hub (CDH),
    2. 1:1 Operations manager Ext (OpsExtCDH),
    3. CDH standard release (OLSTRDCDH), and
    4. CDH fast release (OLFRCDH)
  3. The communications template and 1:1 communications data model are used during the setup process.
