Pega Badges FAQs
Our badge program currently consists of certification badges, enablement badges (awarded for completing Pega Academy Missions or attending an instructor-led class), and event badges with more types to come. For enablement badges earned through completing online Missions, you can start to track how current your skills are in that product or capability.
For more information visit the Pega Achievements page.
To earn a Mission badge, you must clear the associated mission test with a score of at least 80%. If the mission includes a mission exercise you must also complete the mission exercise. If the mission exercises is auto-graded, you must achieve a total score of at least 80%.
It can take up to 24 hours for a Mission badge to display on your profile.
It is also helpful to force a refresh of your browser's cache. To force a refresh of your browser's cache, press Ctrl + R (Windows) or CMD + R (macOS).
A yellow alert symbol on a badge indicates a new version of the mission is available.
When new versions of the Pega products come out, the Missions that enable users and developers on those products will be updated. But not every product release affects every piece of functionality, so only the Modules and Challenges that are affected by the release will be updated. Those delta changes will be tracked, so you will only see the delta changes that you need to retake based on the latest version you previously completed for each piece of content.
As the Pega technology evolves, so does the associated enablement content. As a Pega user, it is important to keep your badges current as the enablement content keeps up with the technology.
Pega Academy makes it easier than ever to keep current. When new versions of the Pega products are released, the Missions that enable users and developers on those products will be updated.
For each Mission badge that is no longer current, an alert icon will display on the badge. This alert indicates a new version of the mission is available, and that you should complete the new Mission to earn the current badge. This is an easy way to stay current with your skills.
Not every product release affects every piece of functionality, so only the Modules and Challenges that are affected by the new release are updated. These delta changes are tracked in Pega Academy, so you only need to complete modules and challenges that contain new learning outcomes. Modules and challenges that do not contain new learning outcomes are marked as completed in the new release of the mission.
Training completion certificates are not available.
Every completed Mission results in a badge. Badges are displayed in your My Pega profile.
Badges can be used by everyone who wants to distinguish themselves by their unique skillsets and expertise, as well as be used by organizations to staff their unique projects.
Readiness badges (Pega Platform Ready, Customer Service Ready, etc.) and Course Completion certificates provided in the previous Pega Academy application have been retired and do not display on the Achievements page on the new site. Instead, we have new missions and mission badges available in the new Pega Academy, and we are encouraging students to keep current with training by taking the latest versions of the missions.
Further information about the new Pega Academy and badges, and keeping current can be found on our Pega Academy Welcome page.
Pega's "Readiness" badges (i.e., Pega Platform Ready, Customer Service Ready, Robotics Ready, Sales Automation Ready, and Delivery Ready) are now replaced by a new currency indicator (!) for badges in your My Pega profile achievements page. Achieve your certification, and then keep current by completing the Missions as they are updated.
