This video explains how to create a release vehicle in 1:1 Operations Manager.
U+ Bank uses the Concurrent Change Management system in its Pega Customer Decision Hub™ application. The bank plans to create a release vehicle for the upcoming first quarter release.
To begin, log in to 1:1 Operations Manager as a Release Manager. You can access the Release vehicles landing page in the navigation pane of 1:1 Operations Manager.
All operators with access to the 1:1 Operations Manager Portal can access the Release vehicle landing page, while the Release Manager is responsible for creating and managing release vehicles.
The landing page displays information related to release vehicles, and you can create a new release vehicle.
Now, enter a name for the release vehicle. When you select the This release vehicle is for testing only checkbox, you can create a non-deployable release vehicle. A non-deployable release vehicle can only undergo for testing in a Business Operations Environment or dedicated testing environment, but cannot be deployed to production. For users other than Team Lead and Release Manager, this option is active by default, which marks the release vehicle as non-deployable. In this scenario, leave the box unchecked.
Next, select the Feature Complete Date. This date marks when the release vehicle should be completed. Then, select a Planned Production Date that shows when you are planning to deploy the release vehicle to production. The planned production date must be a date after the feature completion date. In the event of non-deployable release vehicles, the planned production date option is not available because it is for testing only.
Then, provide a description for the release vehicle and submit.
The release vehicle is created. You can now add change requests to the release vehicle.
Go back to the Release vehicles landing page, you can see different metrics for the release vehicle. Each release vehicle has a unique identifier, name, completion date, production date, number of change requests, type of release vehicle, and status of the release vehicle.
