Disabling Pega Process Fabric Hub

Once you successfully complete the transition of your Customer Service Application from UI-KIT to Pega Constellation™ and no longer require Pega Process Fabric Hub™ there are several important tasks that must be performed to properly finalize the migration and optimize your system configuration.

Removing Pega Process Fabric Hub

When preparing to shut down your Customer Service UI-KIT Application and Process Fabric Hub, you need to completely disable the Process Fabric Hub functionality. This process involves three steps that must be completed in the following sequence:

Step 1: Delete Application Registrations

Remove all Application registrations from the Process Fabric Hub Application. The option Delete application becomes available only after you perform the Stop sync action. This way you remove all the application related assets on the Pega Process Fabric Hub, disconnect your Applications from the hub environment and prevent any continued data synchronization attempts.

Step 2: Remove Hub Components

Remove the ProcessFabricHubConnector component from the consumer application. Navigate to the Application rule and delete this component from the Enabled components area. Additionally, remove any PFHUB-related Rulesets from the Application Rulesets area if they are no longer needed.

Step 3: Disable Feature Toggles

Disable the required feature toggles to complete the process:

  • Primary Toggle: Disable the EnablePegaProcessFabricHub feature toggle from Toggle Management in Dev Studio. This action reverts the unified Worklist and unified Work Queues back to the standard Customer Service out-of-the-box My Work and My Work Queues functionality.
  • Deprecated Toggle: If you previously enabled the older EnableCoexistence toggle, ensure this is also disabled. While this deprecated toggle still functions, it is targeted for removal from the Application in the Customer Service 26.1 release.

Disabling the EnablePegaProcessFabricHub toggle

To disable the EnablePegaProcessFabricHub (if you previously enabled the EnableCoexistence toggle you must disable it as well) perform the following steps.

  1. Log into Developer Studio.
  2. Click Configure > System > Release > Toggles.
  3. Locate the EnablePegaProcessFabricHub toggle.
  4. Click Edit toggle.
  5. Turn off the Enable toggle for all switch.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. Optional: Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the EnableCoexistence toggle.
Note: The EnablePegaProcessFabricHub toggle is specific to Customer Service Constellation applications, and the EnableCoexistence is specific to Customer Service UI-Kit applications. If you have enabled both toggles, you must disable both toggles to disable Pega Process Fabric Hub.

You have now successfully disabled the EnablePegaProcessFabricHub toggle.
