Common Assistant
The Common assistant is an agentic interface that answers questions about Common Data Model and lets you manage sample data. Common assistant is in the Data Portal.
To access the assistant, click the Chat with AI icon on any Data Portal page. The following figure shows the Common Assistant welcome page.
Asking questions
By using the Pega Common documentation, the Common assistant provides answers to your questions.
You can ask the Common assistant questions such as the following:
- Tell me about Data and Integration Designer
- How do I import external data in Common?
- Tell me about reference data objects
- What is Visualizer and how is it implemented?
- What is the Common repository URL configuration?
- Why do business entities inherit from Work- instead of from Data-?
- Why do Common Data Pages use aggregate sources?

Managing sample data
You can create, update, and search sample data that is related to business entities such as Accounts, Contacts, Transactions, Products, Assets, and their relationships. For more information, see Managing sample data with Common Assistant.
