Scenario

Noah Smith is a Sales Representative at Acme Technologies. Each day, he begins his day by checking emails and spends a significant amount of time composing and replying to emails to prospects and customers. To boost the efficiency and quality of his email communications, Noah opts to use the Pega GenAI™-based suggested emails feature in Pega Sales Automation™. Now, Noah wants to use the feature to request a contract review and approval from one of his existing customers, Jake Brown, for the Smart Collaboration Portal associated with Acme Technologies.

To streamline this process, you, as a Sales Operator, must create a new GenAI email prompt that generate a suggested email template for Noah to use when composing and replying to these requests. This prompt will not only save time but also ensure consistency and quality in communications.

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:

Task 1: Create a new generative AI email prompt and review it

Navigate to the GenAI prompts landing page and then create a generative AI email prompt with the name Contract Review and Approval for an existing prospect. After creating the prompt, review it by searching for it on the GenAI prompts landing page. 

Task 2: Confirm your work 

Test the scenario by logging in as a Sales Representative. In the Contacts section, search for a contact to whom you want to send the email that requests a contract review and approval by using generative AI email suggestion. In this case, Jake Brown is the contact. 

 

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Detailed Tasks

1 Create a new generative AI email prompt and verify it

1. In the Pega instance for the challenge, click Launch Pega Infinity to log in to the Sales Automation application: 
   1. In the User name field, enter SalesSampleOps. 
   2. In the Password field, enter rules. 
2. In the navigation pane of Sales Automation, click GenAI prompts. 
3. On the GenAI prompts landing page, click Create GenAI prompt to create a prompt. 
4. In the Category list, select Existing Prospect.
   Jake Brown is already a contact in Pega Sales Automation.
5. In the Prompt name field, enter Contract Review and Approval as the name of the prompt that sales representatives see.
6. In the Prompt detail text box, enter a detailed prompt for the system to generate the email content: 
   Craft a concise message to request a contract review and approval from a client. Clearly outline the key terms and conditions, address any specific points that need attention, and provide instructions for the review process. Maintain a professional and collaborative tone, encouraging a prompt response. 
7. Make this prompt active by selecting the Active checkbox. 
   
8. Click Submit. 
9. On the GenAI prompts landing page, search for Contract Review and Approval, and then verify that the prompt is displayed in the list. 
10. In the upper-right corner, click Account > Log off.
