Pega GenAI Sales Assistant overview
Pega GenAI Sales Assistant™ for Pega Sales Automation™ provides intelligent guidance and assistance to sales representatives by using generative AI to recommend actions and personalized content. The feature analyzes emails, appointments, tasks, activities, opportunities, leads, and contacts to provide actionable insights that help you identify high-priority activities for each day.
Types of assistants
Sales Automation includes two types of assistants: Home page assistant and Contextual Case assistants.
Home page assistant
The Home page assistant analyzes your emails, appointments, tasks, activities, opportunities, leads, and contacts to provide personalized recommendations and run approved actions. It offers cross-functional insights and prioritized action items to help you focus on the most impactful daily activities on the homepage of the Sales Automation application.
The Home Page Assistant includes the following features:
- Prioritization of action items: Provides intelligent recommendations based on your complete sales context.
- Data management: Uses natural language commands to support searching and updating records such as opportunities, leads, and contacts. It also facilitates creating leads, contacts, activities, and accounts with a conversational interface by offering intelligent field suggestions and simplified data entry.
- Task automation: Schedules meetings, responds to emails, and creates tasks with your approval.
- Conversational interface: Enables natural language interaction across all functions.
- Contextual intelligence: Offers recommendations based on your role, territory, and activity patterns.
- Action processing: Run approved actions directly from recommendations.
- Knowledge integration: Provides inline access to relevant Pega Knowledge™ content during conversations.
For example, if a sales representative asks the Sales Assistant, "What should I focus on today?" the Assistant analyzes emails, appointments, tasks, activities, opportunities, leads, and contacts to provide intelligent recommendations. It suggests a list of top action items with clear reasoning, as shown in the following figure:
