Architecture of Pega Government Platform

Architectural overview

Pega Government Platform™ product is delivered as a bundle of two frameworks:

  • The core Pega Government Platform product that houses the reusable and extensible component library.
  • The Investigative Case Management (ICM) framework. ICM is built specifically for government organizations to accelerate solution delivery. ICM leverages the component library from the Pega Government Platform layer, including portals, dashboards, case types, and geospatial capabilities. ICM includes an Investigation case type and extends the Event case from the Pega Government Platform layer.

The core Pega Government Platform framework is built on top of the Theme Cosmos application feature that leverages Pega Platform. You can build your application on top of the core Pega Government Platform framework. To take advantage of the ICM functionality, you can choose to implement it on top of the ICM.

For more information about Theme Cosmos, see the Theme Cosmos article on Pega Community.

Application stack

The Pega Government Platform components make the application App Studio-ready; the components can be reused, extended, and configured according to your business need.
