Pega Sales Automation™ is the system of record (SOR) for most data used by the sales organization. With a new Pega Sales Automation implementation, you can bulk import information about the organization and customers from a variety of sources. To simplify this task, Pega Sales Automation makes use of the Data Import wizard.
To import your data into Pega Sales Automation application, use comma-separated values (CSV) files. The columns in the CSV files are mapped to fields in the Pega Sales Automation data model by using templates. The following image outlines the data import process.
There are two options for uploading the CSV files into your application.
- Data Import wizard
- Data import File Listener
The data import File Listener uses multithreading to increase the throughput. This is faster than the Data Import wizard, which uses a single thread. Always use the data import File Listener when importing large data volumes (millions of rows).
