Creating work groups and assignment types

An administrator can create a new work group and associated assignment type within Pega Robot Manager™ to extend or expand the work assignments in the application for unattended robotic process automation (RPA) robots.

In Pega Robot Manager, you create work groups and define the associated assignment types for robots to apply a robotic package and to work on assignments in that work group.

Use the following steps to create a work group and assignment types:

  1. On the Pega Robot Manager dashboard, click the Robots tab.
  2. On the right, click Actions Add new to add a new work group.
    Create a new work group
  3. In the name field, enter a name for the work group.
  4. Enter an assignment type for the work group to process based on robot activities included in the automation package assigned to the work group.
  5. Click Create.
    Note: You may need to update decision tables depending on the business requirements and move robots between work groups as well as coordinate with application developers to use the new work group and assignment types with a case type.
