In this step of the View creation process, you can define optional advanced options
for the View, such as how Pega Process Mining handles errors in the
source data.
The following figure and definition list that follows describe the options that you can
configure in the Advanced Properties tab:Advanced Properties in the View creation wizard
Ingestion Mode
The ingestion mode controls how Pega Process Mining
handles errors that occur during View creation. The default ingestion mode
is PERMISSIVE, but you can select a different
ingestion mode:
PERMISSIVE: The system keeps rows with problems but uses NULL values
where the row is affected.
FAIL FAST: The system stops the process when it encounters a
malformed row and displays an error message.
DROPMALFORMED: The system removes rows with problems from the final
View.
Activities to be removed
This list includes the activities that Pega Process Mining detected in the data source. Select activities that you want to remove
from the View. Events that contain removed activities are not included in
the View and do not affect the metrics in any way.
Select possible activities that should be the initial step of a single
Case
Select one or more columns to be the initial steps of a single case.
Select possible activities that should be the final step of a single
Case
Select one or more columns to be the final steps of a single Case. Pega Process Mining uses these values to perform operations
on predictive analysis and to improve other widgets by showing Cases that
are still open or already closed. Selecting the final steps also enables the
Predictive: Case Duration analysis within the Analyses section for the
View.
Select the success states
In addition to selecting end activities, you can use this field, along with
Select the fail states, to indicate which
activities represent successful end states and which ones represent
failures. Pega Process Mining uses this information to
improve the predictive analysis.
Select the fail states
Select activities that represent failures. Pega Process Mining uses this information to improve the
predictive analysis.
The following figure shows an example of definitions for the initial step of a single
Case, final step of a single Case, and the activities that denote success or
failure.
