Event Strategies overview

Organizations often collect large amounts of data but face challenges in extracting valuable insights from it.

To address this issue, it's essential to focus on only the relevant information and identify significant patterns in it to take appropriate actions.

Event Strategies in Pega Platform™ simplify the detection of meaningful patterns across a real-time data stream.

An Event refers to a specific occurrence happening at a particular time and location, representing an action or change in data.

Event Strategies allow you to specify patterns of events, query for them across a data stream, and react to emerging patterns.

For example, identifying the number of dropped calls from call detail records in a Call Center, or noticing a decrease in credit card transactions compared to previous months.

By using Event Strategies in a Data Flow, you can respond to emerging patterns, pinpoint crucial opportunities and risks, and determine the most appropriate next steps.
