Out-of-the-box landing page widgets
Landing page widgets offer prescribed, helpful functions for users in one place. This improves usability and helps application builders to quickly build useful applications. Constellation provides a variety of out-of-the-box widgets that support common user actions.
Adding widgets to landing pages
You add out-of-the-box widgets to a landing page in your application directly on the landing page that you want to update, by selecting a widget to configure.
Default widget options
Out-of-the-box widgets include:
-
Pulse – a team collaboration tool that keeps posts, comments, and attachments all in one place.
-
To do – shows end users a list of work items. You can configure this widget to show the following. If more than one of the following options is selected, end users can toggle between three different options:
-
My Worklist – displays the end user’s work items.
-
Worklist of team members – displays the work items that belong to the end user’s team members.
-
Work Queue – displays the work items that belong to a work queue.
-
-
App announcement – enables you to customize a welcome message to show end users. Here, you can display customized text, as well as a link (formatted as a button) to take users to external content, such as a 'What’s New' page to explain new application features.
You can also create custom widgets to support unique functionalities not listed above.
