Use Case - Migrating the application
2 Tasks
30 mins
Scenario
The initial phase of the project has been completed. The application has been tested and determined to be mature enough to be migrated to the Business Operations environment. As the decisioning architect, you are asked to support the system architect and prepare the environment for change management.
The business team wants to ensure that the relevant artifacts in Pega Customer Decision Hub™, created by the Next-Best-Action Designer, go through a proper change management process and that any new configuration must be done in the Business Operations environment. The project team wants to ensure that none of these rules are available to be modified in the development environment after the migration is complete. In this phase, the channel configuration is not going to be part of change management.
Detailed Tasks
1 Other details
- As the System architect, add rules to the OLSTDRCDH application overlay that represents the following Next-Best-Action Designer tabs:
- Taxonomy,
- Constraints,
- Engagement Policies,
- Arbitration
Tip: A variation of this scenario exists in Configuring the Overlay Application.
- As the Deployment Manager Release Administrator, start the Initial Migration pipeline to migrate all applications to the Business Operations environment.
- Once the deployment is complete, use the Customer Profile Viewer to validate that you can successfully make an inbound call and receive a response in the Business Operations environment.
2 Acceptance criteria
- All the rules mentioned in the details section (Taxonomy, Constraints, Engagement Policies, Arbitration) are successfully added to the overlay application.
- The Customer Decision Hub application in the development environment is successfully deployed to the Business Operations environment.
- Once the deployment is complete, an inbound "Make decision" call in the Business Operations environment is made using Customer Profile Viewer to ensure that the Customer Decision Hub application is successfully migrated.
