Scénario

Your company has set a sales target of USD 1 million for Q1 2026. Sales management has decided to set a quota of USD100,000 for each of the sales representatives. For this exercise, update the sales goal for Terry Mason.

Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:

Your assignment consists of the following tasks:

Task 1: Create time period for Q1 2026.

Task 2: Add the sales goal for Terry Mason.

1 Create time period for Q1 2026

1. Log in to your exercise system as the sales operations user.
2. In the left navigation menu, click Time periods. A list of defined Time Periods is displayed.
3. Click Create time period. The Add record dialog is displayed.
4. Enter the following information to add fiscal year 2026.
   1. Name: FY 2026
   2. Start date: 1/1/2026
   3. End date: 12/31/2026
   4. Type: Fiscal year
   5. Select Active.
5. Click Submit. FY 2026 is added to the Fiscal year list.
6. Click Create time period. The Add record dialog is displayed.
7. Enter the following information to add the first quarter to the fiscal year 2026.
   1. Name: Q1
   2. Start date: 1/1/2026
   3. End date: 3/31/2026
   4. Type: Quarter
   5. Fiscal Year: FY 2026
   6. Select Active.
8. Click Submit. Q1 2026 is added to the Quarter list.

2 Add the sales goal for Terry Mason

1. In the left navigation menu, click Sales goals. The Sales goals page is displayed.
2. Search for Terry Mason. The sales goals for Terry Mason are displayed.
3. At the top of the list, click Add sales goal.
4. Enter the following information to add the sales goal for Q1 2026.
   1. Goal owner: Terry Mason
   2. Fiscal year: FY 2026
   3. Quarter: Q1
   4. Goal type: Revenue
   5. Goal value: 100000
5. Click Submit. The application displays Q1 for FY 2026 in the list on the Sales Goals page.
