Generating Case data using Pega GenAI
Pega GenAI™ accelerates the creation of the sample data that is necessary to facilitate testing in Pega Platform™.
Generating data records
Pega GenAI simplifies application development by creating sample records for your data objects. During testing, you can use these sample data records in place of data in external systems of record that do not yet have integration with the application.
For example, in a fraud investigation application for U+Bank, you add data records to the Customer data object.
After selecting the Customer data object, click the Records tab, and then click Generate sample data with AI. As seen in the following figure, this action opens a dialog box where you can edit the number of sample data records that you want Pega GenAI to create:
In this example, Pega GenAI generates three sample data records for the Customer data object.
The three sample data records that Pega GenAI generates for the Customer data object are shown in the following figure:
Pega GenAI generates information for all fields in the data object. Each data record contains values that correspond to the Type associated with each field. For example, the Customer email field is an Email type; therefore, Pega GenAI provides an email address as the value.
In the following figure, the data records that Pega GenAI creates and saves to the application are then available for use when testing Cases:
Populating form data
Pega GenAI can also populate form data when you are testing your Case Type.
When testing a Case, click to populate a form View with data. As shown in the following image, Pega GenAI completes the form with data based on the fields included in the form:
The fields that Pega GenAI populates then integrate into the data that the system uses to resolve the Case, as shown in the following image:
