Generating Personas using Pega GenAI
In Pega Platform™, Personas are a design tool that helps developers group users according to the actions and responsibilities that they assume in a Case Type. Personas define internal and external stakeholders who use the application and Case Types in different ways based on their roles and desired business outcomes.
Pega GenAI™ offers a new way to retrieve credible suggestions for application Personas by generating suggestions based on the application name and other application metadata, which ensures that the suggestions are relevant and tailored to the specific application.
Generating a Persona
Pega GenAI suggests Personas based on the name of the application and other application metadata. You can access the list of Personas affiliated with an application by clicking Users in the navigation pane of App Studio, and then selecting .
The following figure shows Pega GenAI’s suggestions for Personas associated with the Life Insurance application:
You can select one of Pega GenAI’s suggestions by clicking a suggested Persona name, or you can enter a custom Persona in the New persona Name dialog box.
This example uses the Policy Holder Persona from the AI suggestion, as shown in the following figure:
Pega GenAI provides a description of each suggested Persona, which makes it easier for application developers to understand the purpose and function of each suggested Persona.
After the creation of a Persona, you can easily add to the Case Type in the Personas & Channels section of the Case Life Cycle, as shown in the following figure:
