Transcript Frequently Asked Questions

  • Your Pega Achievements page should display all of your Pega Academy course completions and Pega certifications. However, sometimes you need to complete some additional steps to have your Achievements page accurately reflect your training and skills.

    Find your current situation in the troubleshooting tips below and follow the steps listed to resolve the issue.

    Certification not displaying in Verify Certification search page

    My certification is not displaying when I search for it in the Verify Certification search page. Why?

    • After passing your exam, wait up to 3 days for Pega to receive your exam data from the exam center.
    • You must  have a Pega account in order to search for and find your certification(s) in the Verify Certification search page.

        If you do not have a Pega Account:

    1. Register for a Pega account:

      • If registering with a personal email address, use the email address you used in your PearsonVUE account.

      • If registering with a professional email address, you may need to add the email address you used in your Pearson VUE account (if it is not the same as your professional email address) as an Alternate email address in your Pega account.

    2. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you used to create your Pega account. You must click on the link in the email to activate your Pega account.
    3. If you entered an Alternate email address, you must also click on the confirmation link sent to that email address.
    4. After you create and activate your Pega account, wait approximately 3-7 days for your certification(s) to sync with your Pega account.

    5. After 3-7 days have passed you will be able to search for your certification using the Verify Certification page at https://academy.pega.com/verify-certification.

    I already have a Pega account. How come I still cannot find my certification in the Verify Certification search page?

    You may need to link your Pearson VUE account email address to your Pega account email address. The email address you used in your Pearson VUE account needs to be either the Primary (login) email address for your Pega account or an Alternate email address in your Pega account.

        To Add an Alternate Email address to your Pega account:

    1. Login to your Pega account.

    2. Navigate to your Pega account profile page by clicking on Hello (Your Name) in the top menu bar.
    3. Click the Profile link to access your profile.
    4. Click the Edit Profile link.
    5. Click the Add alternate email link. Add the email address you used in your Pearson VUE account used for certification exam registration as an alternate email address.
    6. Click the Save Profile button at the bottom of the screen.
    7. An email confirmation will be sent to your Alternate email address. You must click the link in the email message to confirm and activate your alternate email address.
    8. Wait approximately 3-7 days after activating your alternate email address for your certification(s) to fully sync with your Pega account.
    9. You will then be able to search for your certification in the Verify Certification search page using any email address associated with your Pega account.

    NOTE: If you receive an error indicating that the email address you added already has a Pega community account associated with it, please contact support@accounts.pega.com and request the two accounts to be merged. Be sure to include your Primary account email address and the alternate address you want added.

    I do not have access to the Pearson VUE account email address associated with my certification exam. How do I update my email address?
    If your certification exam is associated with an email address that you cannot access (no longer exists, forgotten, etc.), then you must update the email address in your Pearson VUE account.

    1. Login to your Pearson VUE account at http://pearsonvue.com/pegasystems.
    2. In the My Account menu, click My Profile.
    3. In the Primary Contact Information section, click the Edit button.
    4. Enter your new email address. Then click the Save and Continue button.
    5. Within 3 days, Pega will receive the updated email address from Pearson VUE. As long as your new Pearson VUE account email address is either a Primary (login) email address or an Alternate email address in your Pega account, your certification will be associated with your Pega account.

    Certification not displaying in Pega Achievements page

    I have a Pega account, but my certification is not displaying in my Pega Achievements page. Why?
    This situation typically occurs when the email address you used in your Pearson VUE account to register for the certification exam is not linked to your Pega account profile.

    To link your Pearson VUE account email address to your Pega account email address, add an Alternate email address to your account:

    1. Login to your Pega account.
    2. Navigate to your Pega account profile page by clicking on Hello (Your Name) in the top menu bar.
    3. Click the Profile link to access your profile.
    4. Click the Edit Profile link.

    5. Click the Add alternate email link. Add the email address you used in your Pearson VUE account used for certification exam registration as an alternate email address.

    6. Click the Save Profile button at the bottom of the screen.

    7. An email confirmation will be sent to your Alternate email address. You must click the link in the email message to confirm and activate your alternate email address.

    8. Wait approximately 3-7 days after activating your alternate email address for your certification(s) to fully sync with your Pega account.

    9. Your certification should then display in your Pega Achievements page: https://academy.pega.com/dashboard/achievements

    NOTE: If you receive an error indicating that the email address you added already has a Pega community account associated with it, please contact support@accounts.pega.com and request the two accounts to be merged. Be sure to include your Primary account email address and the alternate address you want added.

    I do not have access to the Pearson VUE account email address associated with my certification. How do I update my email address?
    If your certification exam is associated with an email address that you cannot access (no longer exists, forgotten, etc.), then you must update the email address in your Pearson VUE account.

    Need Certification soft copy or Course Completion soft copy certificate

    How can I get a soft copy (.pdf) of my certification or a course completion certificate?

    Pega policy is that we do not send .pdf certificates. This is because you can view, download, and print your .pdf certificate using your Pega account.

    1. Log into Pega Academy using your Pega account.
    2. Click on My Training in the top menu of Pega Academy.
    3. Click the My Achievements link.
    4. Your completed courses, certifications, and badges will display. Click the Download link next to the course or certification for a copy of your certificate.

    If you are not able to see content on the My Achievements page in order to download your .pdf certificate, try the following browser troubleshooting steps:

    1. Log in to Pega Academy (make sure you are logged out first) and try to access your .pdf certificate again. Then refresh the browser window and see if that helps.

    2. Log out of Pega Academy. Clear your cache and then log in again and try to access the .pdf certificate.

    3. Try a different internet browser.

    4. If you are still not able to view your .pdf certificate after trying the 3 steps above, please email certification@pega.com

    Remember that you must have an active Pega account in order to view your certification .pdf certificate, and your Pearson VUE account email address must be linked to your Pega account. See the sections above for information on how to link your Pearson VUE account email address to your Pega account if the email addresses are different in each account.

    Readiness Badge not enabled in Achievements page

    I completed the required courses or certifications, but my badge is not displaying in my Achievements page. Why?

    1. Ensure that you completed the correct courses, certifications and versions for your badge:
    2. After you complete all of the required courses and/or certifications for the badge, it will take a few days for the badge to be shown in your Achievements page. The badge will not display immediately. Please wait approximately 3-7 days for the badge to become enabled and display in your Achievements page.

    Online course not displaying in Achievements page

    I completed an online course, but it does not display in my Achievements page. Why?

    NOTE: It may take approximately 24-48 hours for a completed course to display in your Achievements page. A completed course will not display in your Achievements page immediately.

    If a self-study course you are enrolled in is not displaying in your Pega Achievements page, you may not have completed all of the lesson quizzes with 100% accuracy. Go to your Dashboard in Pega Academy and complete the following steps:

    1. Find the incomplete course and open it.
    2. Find the lessons without a green checkmark and navigate to the quiz page.
    3. Retake the quiz until you answer all the questions correctly. Repeat for any remaining lessons.
    4. When the course is completed, it will be marked accordingly and display a message recognizing your completion.
    5. Wait approximately 24-48 hours for your course to display in your Achievements page.

    Instructor-Led course not displaying in Achievements page

    I completed an Instructor-Led course, but it does not display in my Achievements page. Why?

    If an instructor-led course you attended is not displaying in your Pega Achievements page, it could be because the course is not associated with the email address you currently use to access the Pega Community.

    NOTE: Any instructor-led courses completed before July 2007 will not be visible in your Pega Achievements page.

    1. Login to your Pega account.
    2. Navigate to your Pega account profile page by clicking on Hello (Your Name) in the top menu bar.
    3. Click the Profile link.

    4. Click the Edit Profile link.

    5. Click the Add alternate email link. Add the email address you used in your Pearson VUE account used for certification exam registration as an alternate email address.

    6. Click the Save Profile button at the bottom of the screen.

    7. An email confirmation will be sent to your Alternate email address. You must click the link in the email message to confirm and activate your alternate email address.

    8. Wait approximately 48 hours for the completed course to be associated with your Pega account.
    9. Confirm if the course displays in your Achievements page.

    NOTE: If you receive an error indicating that the email address you added already has a Pega community account associated with it, please contact support@accounts.pega.com and request the two accounts to be merged. Be sure to include your Primary account email address and the alternate address you want added.

    I have a different issue with my Achievements page

    If the previous tips do not solve your particular issue, send an email to certification@pega.com. To expedite your request, please provide the following information:

    • Your full name
    • Primary (login) email address you use for your Pega account
    • Email address you used in your Pearson VUE account - if the issue is related to a certification
    • Your exam client candidate ID (PEGA######) - if the issue is related to a certification
    • A complete description and screenshots of the issue you are experiencing.
