Activity 3: Deep Dive into Task Analysis and Process Visualization

Scenario: Anna has identified the Policy Portal as a critical legacy application to address. Now, she needs to understand how specific tasks are impacted by its use and diagnose the underlying pain points. She decides to analyze the "midterm adjustment" task, which has been flagged as heavily reliant on Policy Portal. She will use the Timeline View, Task Scoring, and Process Graph to gain deeper insights.

Goal: For the learner to interpret timeline views for application usage, understand task scoring (Efficiency, Complexity, Friction), and analyze process graphs to identify bottlenecks and deviations.

The Pega Task Mining Timeline is displayed that shows the daily application usage patterns. Policy Portal is highlighted, indicating its frequent, everyday use across the timeline.
