Adding custom localization in Web Messaging
Digital Messaging Manager facilitates uploads of additional custom translations for languages that Digital Messaging Service does not support in the Web Messaging settings. This feature assists organizations to expand their services through the Web Messaging Channel by reaching more diverse regions and languages.
Digital Messaging Service supports the following languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin/Chinese (Simplified), Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish. However, to cater to a broader audience, you can upload custom localizations for additional languages.

This demonstration shows how to add custom localizations in Web Messaging.
Consider a business scenario, U+ Bank is a retail bank with offices worldwide, including China. The bank wants to expand its services through Web Messaging Channels in China and reach its Chinese customers in their native language, Mandarin. To achieve this, U+ Bank wants to add custom localization to its Web Messaging platform.
To obtain this outcome, on the Connection tab of your Digital Messaging interface, click Manage connections.
In the Digital Messaging Manager window, edit the Web Messaging connection to add custom localization for Web Messaging fields.
Now, click the Language tab.
In the Web Messaging field localization section, click Download to download a template of the custom localization CSV file.
You can create a CSV file with additional translated language by using the format and syntax of the custom localization template on the local drive, if required.
Click Choose File. Select the CSV file that includes your custom translation, and then click Open.
You can see that the additional localization languages display in the Web Messaging field localization section.
After you upload the file, you can test the custom localization in the following scenario: Sara Connor, a Chinese customer of U+ Bank, logs into the U+ Bank website to connect to a Customer Service Representative (CSR). She is happy to see that the U+ Bank website can render in Mandarin. She initiates a chat session with the CSR to make a general inquiry. She feels more at home in the chat interaction when she sees the Web Messaging widget in Mandarin.
