Architecture of Pega Government Platform

Delivery of Pega Government Platform™ comes in a bundle of two frameworks:

  • The core Pega Government Platform product that houses the reusable and extensible component library.
  • The Investigative Case Management (ICM) framework. The purpose of ICM is for government organizations to accelerate solution delivery. ICM uses the component library from the Pega Government Platform layer, including portals, dashboards, case types, and geospatial capabilities. ICM includes an Investigation case type and extends the Event case from the Pega Government Platform layer.

The core Pega Government Platform framework is built on top of the Time Management application. Time Management is built on top of the Theme Cosmos application feature that uses Pega Platform, and you can extend these features in the Pega Government Platform and ICM frameworks.

You can build your application on top of the core Pega Government Platform framework. To take advantage of the ICM functionality, you can choose to implement your application on top of the ICM.

For more information, see Theme Cosmos.

Application stack

The Pega Government Platform components help make your application ready for App Studio; the components are reusable, extendable, and configurable according to your business needs. The following figure shows the application stack of the Pega Government Platform application.
